Active Transportation for Children and Youth

Active & Safe Routes to School

The Ecology Action Centre (EAC) is committed to finding ways for children, youth and their families in Nova Scotia to use active transportation - such as walking and cycling - for the environment, physical activity and traffic safety. We achieve this through several programs. To take the first step, click on the program links below and learn more.

Whether you are an individual, school or community or interested in a single event or an ongoing program, EAC staff will walk you through the steps and provide ongoing support to help you in your choice to use active transportation more often.
